We’re building a team of expert software developers to help define and build our backlog of features. Our backlog includes projects involving native mobile development, API development, social media integration, recommendation algorithm and machine learning implementation, etc.

You’re an experienced engineer seeking a key role on an agile team that is building an exciting product in a rapidly growing start-up. The right candidate has:

● Several years experience building web applications using Ruby on Rails and similar technologies
● Strong understanding of web standards and modern client-side engineering using JavaScript, SASS, HAML, et al
● Significant experience using test-driven development to design and test software
● Experience with pair programming and a predilection toward aggressive refactoring
● Eagerness to be part of a software development process that values continuous improvement, team collaboration, engineering excellence and shipping
● Experience operating and scaling a high-volume consumer web application

We’re looking for smart, creative and independent thinkers who love our core product, its ethos and its potential. You have input and ideas during all phases of the product development process. People want you on their project because they know it will increase its chances of success. You’re driven to succeed, have previous start-up experience and are engaged with the NYC Ruby and start-up communities.

This position is for full-time employment on-site in our office in DUMBO. We’re open to supporting relocation for the right candidates.
